Joel Quintans retired as the Creative Director at The University of Texas at Arlington in 2019. During his 28 year tenure at UTA, his responsibilities included oversight of the university’s brand as well as lead designer on high-level projects including admissions recruitment campaigns, development fundraising campaigns, university annual reports, print, television, and on-line advertising campaigns, building and way-finding signage, and set and stage designs for commencement, and lectures by internationally renowned dignitaries.
Accolades include several regional and national design and photography awards from CASE (Council for the Advancement and Support of Education) and UCDA (University & College Designers Association).
Joel is the chief instructor and co-owner of Oak Cliff Aikikai, a martial arts school in Oak Cliff and a partner with Fight Club. He has taught seminars in the U.S. and Mexico. He is also a designer and co-owner of JQAQ Atelier, an architecture and design firm also based in Oak Cliff, Texas.
